Nadja Maril’s prose and poetry has been published in literary magazines that include, Lunch Ticket, Spry Literary Review, Across the Margin, and The Compressed Journal of Creative Arts. Her chapbook of poems and memoir. Recipes from My Garden, published by Old Scratch Press (September 2024) is available on Amazon and at better bookstores. Also released in August 2024 is a delightful book for all ages, Who IS Santa?, which she also illustrated. All profits from sales of the Santa book will be donated to the International Pleuropulmonary Blastoma (PPB)/DICER 1 Registry. The mission of the registry is to improve outcomes for children and adults with pleuropulmonary blastoma PPB) and other DICER-1 related cancers.
A former journalist and magazine editor, Nadja has an MFA in Creative Writing from the Stonecoast Program at the University of Southern Maine. She is the author of two children’s books with paintings by her father Herman Maril and two highly regarded reference books on 19th and 20th century American lighting.
